Dental Implants

Welcome to new age dentistry, where you don’t need to compromise your side teeth to replace that missing tooth. A dental implant is a screw, usually made of titanium that replaces the root of your missing tooth. A cap is placed over the dental implant, which acts as a fully functional tooth, making it easier to talk, chew your food, and other routine activities.

Dental implants serve as durable and long-lasting foundations for permanent teeth, as is the case for crowns and bridges, or removable teeth such as dentures. Implants are crafted to match your natural teeth for the best aesthetic results.

Dental implants can help improve your smile, notably when teeth are missing. Implants are far more comfortable than dentures, which need to be removed and put back on repeatedly. With dental implants, it is much easier to maintain good oral hygiene. Surrounding teeth are unaffected by implants that help preserve long term oral health.

At “The Smylist,” we use the best quality implants along with skilled surgical precision to replace that tooth or multiple teeth seamlessly. Experience a pain-free dental implant procedure.

Our team will take the utmost care to ensure that your experience is comfortable with results that speak for themselves. We recommended that you consult Dr. Namrata before opting for dental implants. It is vital to maintain good oral hygiene after receiving a dental implant. With “The Smylist” by your side, we promise that you’ll have plenty to smile about.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is one of the most dreaded dental procedures. Most patients are known to avoid visiting their dentist for a root canal until the last moment. Worry not, Dr. Namrata and her team at “The Smylist” will make sure that your procedure is pain-free. If you’re experiencing severe tooth pain and suspect an infection may have occurred, schedule an appointment with us, and we will take care of the rest.

Here, at “The Smylist,” we specialize in single sitting root canal procedures for most patients, along with microscopic and laser root canals when required. From the dose of anesthesia to the completion of the root canal procedure, we’ll make sure you glide through it with minimal discomfort.

A root canal procedure is executed to help save a tooth from severe infection or decay. During the process, the tooth’s nerve and pulp are removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned. If left untreated, abscesses may occur, and the infection may even spread.

Why is it called a Root Canal?

The term root canal describes the cavity in the center of the tooth. The tooth’s nerve ending and tooth pulp exist within the root canal.

Why do the tooth nerve and pulp need to be removed?

If the tooth nerve and pulp are damaged or infected due to decay, they begin to break down. Bacteria and debris may result in the formation of an abscess. An abscess is the formation of pus, and if left untreated, it can cause swelling, pain in the head, neck, and cheek as well as bone loss near the tip of the tooth roots.

Routine Checkup

The foundation of oral health is healthy teeth and gums. For several reasons, regular tooth cleaning is important. It allows us to remove the tartar and plaque around your teeth to avoid periodontal disease. Also, we can monitor the health of your teeth and gums and look for any signs of changes or problems when you come into our office on a regular basis.

Your hygienist will check for any problems you might not see or feel during your regular check-up:

  • Find cavities or other signs of tooth decay.
  • Check for gingivitis and periodontal disease signs on your teeth and gums.
  • Clean, rinse and polish thoroughly the teeth.

Visiting The Smylist every six months gives you the chance to talk with your doctor and receive answers for any questions you may have about your oral health. Check-ups are also a great way to discover new treatments for your smile.
